Delayed or deferred JavaScript
Caching and optimization plugins can hold scripts until the visitor scrolls or clicks, or combine them into one file. Exclude app.prequalfunnel.com or embed.js from delay, defer, combine and minify settings.

<div data-prequal="mortgage"
data-key="YOUR_EMBED_KEY"
data-mode="inline"></div>
<script src="https://app.prequalfunnel.com/embed.js" async></script>To add a mortgage calculator to WordPress, copy the snippet from the Embed tab in your PrequalFunnel dashboard, add a Custom HTML block to the page and paste it in. Publish, then submit a test lead. If the calculator doesn't appear, a caching or optimization plugin is usually delaying or rewriting the script.
These steps use the block editor as of October 2026. Classic editor and page-builder users paste the same snippet into their own HTML element.
In your PrequalFunnel dashboard, open the calculator, go to the Embed tab, choose Inline and copy the snippet. It already holds your embed key.
Edit the page, click the add-block button where the calculator should go and choose Custom HTML. Page builders have an equivalent HTML or Code element.
Paste the full snippet, including the script line. Don't switch the block to visual mode afterwards; some editors rewrite markup when you do.
Publish or update, then open the page in a private window. The editor preview may not run scripts, so judge it on the live page.
If you use a caching plugin, host-level cache or CDN, purge it so visitors get the new page.
This shows the shape of the code with placeholders. Copy the exact snippet from the Embed tab in your dashboard; it is the source of truth.

<script src="https://app.prequalfunnel.com/embed.js" async></script> Almost every WordPress problem comes from something rewriting or delaying the script before it runs.
Caching and optimization plugins can hold scripts until the visitor scrolls or clicks, or combine them into one file. Exclude app.prequalfunnel.com or embed.js from delay, defer, combine and minify settings.
Some roles, multisite setups and security plugins remove script tags when a page is saved. Ask an administrator to save the block, or use the Inline in a frame mode.
If you use a frame mode, lazy-load settings can stop the frame loading below the fold. Exclude it, or switch to inline.
If your host or a security plugin sets a content security policy, allow scripts and connections from app.prequalfunnel.com.

Open the published page in a private window so you see what a logged-out borrower sees, with no admin bar and no cached session. Run a realistic calculation, open the lead form and submit it with your own name and email.
Within a minute you should see three things: a new contact in your built-in CRM with every input and result plus the page URL, a lead alert email, and, if you connected one on Producer or Brokerage, a delivery to your webhook. Add ?utm_source=test to the page URL first and the source will show on the contact too.
Add a note or status to the test contact so it doesn't count in your own lead reporting.
Check these in order; the first two cover most cases.
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Empty space where the calculator should be | Script delayed or combined by an optimization plugin | Exclude embed.js from JS delay and combine, then purge caches |
| Snippet shows as text on the page | Pasted into a paragraph block, not Custom HTML | Delete it and paste into a Custom HTML block |
| Works when logged in, not logged out | Cached copy of the old page | Purge plugin, host and CDN caches |
| Script tag gone after saving | Role or security plugin strips scripts | Save as an administrator or use Inline in a frame |
| Calculator appears but no lead arrives | Form blocked or contact limit reached | Check the browser console and your plan's contact limit |

No. PrequalFunnel runs from a snippet you paste into a Custom HTML block, so there is no plugin to install, update or keep compatible with your theme.
Not in inline mode. The calculator renders in a style-isolated container, so theme fonts, margins and button styles don't reach it, and its styles don't affect your page.
Yes. Use the builder's HTML or Code element and paste the same snippet. Check the live page, because some builders don't run scripts inside their editor canvas.
Exclude the embed script from delay JavaScript execution, defer, combine and minify. Leave page caching on; the calculator loads your settings at run time, so a cached page still shows your latest design.
Yes. Add a Custom HTML widget to the sidebar and paste the snippet. In narrow spaces the Compact theme or the popup button mode usually reads better.
Yes. Copy the Floating bubble snippet and place it in a site-wide area such as the footer, or with a header-and-footer code tool. Load it once, not on every block.
The editor preview often doesn't run third-party scripts. Publish or preview the page in a new tab and check it there.
On Producer or Brokerage, add a webhook in PrequalFunnel that points at a HighLevel Inbound Webhook workflow. See the HighLevel integration.
