In practice, yes. Federal rules require the NMLS unique identifier on certain loan documents, and many states require it in advertising, including websites. Put your individual and company NMLS IDs in the footer of every page that collects leads, and check your states' specific display rules with compliance.
A calculator that shows a borrower an estimate based on numbers they typed is generally treated differently from an ad that states a payment or rate. The text around it is still advertising, though. Avoid stating specific rates or payments in headlines and buttons unless your compliance team has confirmed the required disclosures are present.
